Ok, I will admite it, since I was a child I have had a love bordering on obsession with Ancient Egypt. The culture was my first love, I used to dream I was an Egyptian. I grew up a little more, learned about Reincarnation and thought...'hmm, I wonder if that explains my love of it''...I grew a little more, gathered more wisdom and I still find myself pondering the what if. So this necklace is a dedication that part of my soul that could be an ancient memory or could just be a life-time love.

The necklace is an Opalized Ammonite (the Ammonite was named after the Egyptian God, Amun. Pliny the Elder called them the Horns of Amun since he was shown wearing rams horns...which of course bear a striking resemblance to a spiraled Ammonite) The necklace is made from Sodalite, Lapis and Citrine. These were chosen for several reasons...1. they are some of my favorite gems, 2. These colors were seen frequently in Egypt, plus the combination reminds me of the cover of my favorite childhood book with the gold mask belonging to Tutankhamen, and 3. The Egyptians loved their lapis! Finished with a sterling silver hook clasp
